Account Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

Verified Strategy, a boutique communications firm, is seeking a driven, digitally savvy, creative account coordinator with a passion for storytelling and a solid foundation of social media skills. The agency assists busy executives and organizations with developing and executing their social and digital communications strategy.

The candidate will be responsible for contributing to multiple client projects, ranging from non-profits, membership organizations, brands and advocacy organizations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor client social media accounts

  • Monitor groups/discussions; update/raise red flags for account directors

  • Draft social media copy for client accounts, working with content strategist supervision

  • Research influencers and build media lists

  • Develop basic social media graphics (sized correctly for each platform)

  • Perform research, including topical search, trending topics, influencers and breaking news to support client teams

  • Schedule approved content into a social media management system

  • Participate in brainstorms for clients and new business

  • Assist in the development of new business proposals, particularly in research and building decks

  • Light administrative duties

  • Join calls or attend meetings with team/clients as needed

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS DESIRED

  • Experience working in some capacity managing a brand or organization social media platform, particularly Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn

  • Reddit, Snapchat, and others

  • Experience with paid social campaigns * Working knowledge of basic business programs, such as Google and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Powerpoint experience required. * Familiarity with social media management tools, such as Sprout, to track metrics

  • Basic design experience, particularly with Canva or Photoshop

  • Excellent grammar

  • Attention to detail, particularly as it relates to character counts, community etiquette and sizing for social media platforms

  • Interest in working on a variety of accounts

  • Staying current on social media platform changes and skill sets

  • Creativity

  • Self-motivated and able to hit deadlines

  • Kindness to co-workers and clients

  • Work requires a flexible schedule and may require some travel (rarely.)

We are a remote-work friendly company, however, our strong preference is a candidate who is based in Washington, DC for in-person collaboration and team building.

JOB TYPE: Contract

SALARY: $25.00 to $40.00 /hour

Verified Strategy, a boutique digital communications firm, is seeking a driven, digitally savvy, creative and passionate intern with a thirst for knowledge and a foundation of social media skills. The agency assists busy executives with developing their social and digital communications strategy, content creation, targeted social media advertising, and audit/team optimization services.

The candidate will be responsible for contributing to multiple client projects, ranging from non-profits, membership organizations, brands and advocacy organizations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intern there will be opportunities to work on a variety of projects so day-to-day responsibilities will vary. Here’s some examples:

  • Brainstorm innovative ways to meet the client’s objectives, whether that’s increasing brand awareness, engaging with the client’s audience or another goal  

  • Create detailed social media influencer lists and coordinate outreach

  • Write editorial calendars for brand social media platforms.

  • Create graphics and multimedia content (using platforms such as Canva)

  • Track media coverage of a trending topic

  • Contribute to new business proposals or presentation decks

  • Build social and digital strategy training decks

  • Run a social platform for a live event we’re providing on the ground support for

DETAILS

  • Proficiency in Google Office/Microsoft Office (PPT, Word); Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn required. Proficiency in other social channels, such as TikTok and Snapchat, extra credit. Bonus: Talk to us about your graphics, photo and video skills.

  • Location is flexible and we are open to remote applicants. In DC, we have a co-working space near U Street Metro, love coffee shop meet ups and often bring you on to our client sites and events.

  • Role is 10-20 hours per week, contract remains throughout the semester with the possibility of extension or full-time work upon graduation.

  • Rate is $15/hr
